Weighted Clubs for Swinging/Hitting
Does this sound logical? If your a hitter, would swinging a Momentus type training club be beneficial? I'm thinking that since the weight is more evenly distributed along the length of the club the muscular drive of a hitter would drive the club, and thus benefit. Alternatively, would a club with a weighted doughnut at the end of the club be beneficial for a Swinger who would employ centrifugal force to swing the club? I have both and since I'm a Swinger I feel that using the weighted doughnut at the end of my driver really gets your body to feel the effects of centrifugal force more than a Momentus style training club.

I am not sure that the intent of the Weighted club was to make a full speed swing.
Both types of swing use the same arm muscles and this is one area a weighted club works. Also the weight will stretch out the body which is needed for both.
I would think it works equally as well for either swing style so long as it isn't abused.
Regarding feel, I am sure having an unbalanced club (the donut) does in fact give the swinger a heighten sense but I am not sure that this couldn't be a false sense if the stroke was off plane, etc. and you wouldn't know it.
Swinging with two clubs does seem to work for most to loosen up without exceeding the weight the body can adequately handle, even at full speed.

I believe they ingrain the "feel" of a lagged full-speed swing without swing at the full speed, which allows you to better beware of the rhythm, physics and geometry of the action.

YOU load and sustain the "LAG", during which the " LAW" releases it, ideally beyond impact.
"Sustain ( Yang/陽) the lag ( Yin/陰)" is "the unification of Ying and Yang" ( 陰陽合一).
The " LAW" creates the " effect", which is the "motion" or "feel", with the " cause", which is the "intent" or "command".
" Lag" is the secret of golf, passion is the secret of life.
Think as a golfer, execute like a robot.
Rotate, twist, spin, turn.
Bend the shaft.

I'd say that the donut/swing sock is indeed beneficial for learning the feel of the swingers "uncock THEN roll" - the throw out action - what may 'feel' like a very 'wide' release (full sweep) as you start to 'get it', can then be brought back to a better position as you learn 'downward' - down plane force.
Feeling that throw out, and then learning to 'delay' it via the right shoulder/hip - 'magic move' - getting that right elbow in front of the right hip. The power angle pro is a great training aid to get the idea here.
