Has anyone else noticed that on the cover of "the golfing machine" that there is a picture diagram of a triangle in the CHI of machine which is the only diagram on the cover that isn't in the book. Is this something from the past editions ?
Matthew,
It was in editions 1-3, but not 4 and beyond.
However, clearly you have an obsessive compulsive disorder! I've ordered a doctor and three nurses to come to your home and perform an intervention. Do not fight them!! Whoa! Matthew, put down the gun! and stop pointing it at me! ........... wait a minute I forgot that this forum is full of obsessive compulsive disorders- so in that case, let's get back to the little yellow book.

2-D Directional control -Resultant of Scattered Vectors
Under 2-D "Directional Factors"
"Vectoring to determine the correct compass heading to cross a river 3 miles wide with a 4 mph current. The east vector represents the resultant force.
Boat=5 mph ne
River=4 mph so."
Bottom line- the diagram represents an example of two vectors and their resultant force/vector
