Fighting clubhead throwaway???
About 18 months ago I broke the "scaphoid" bone in my left hand in a freak fall. The bone is located about midway between the "V" and the wrist. My problem is that at times, it is extremely painful, even all these months later, to allow the hingeing at the top and maintaining the lag until impact. It feels like I'm going to hit the "outside" of the ball and everything will go left. It's almost impossible to hit a cut. I also feel like I am experiencing clubhead throwaway.

I would greatly appreciate any input that would solve this problem. I've been playing scratch about 20 years but this left-ball is making me crazy.

Many thanks,

Don't know if this will help but back in January i hit a tree root and thought i had broken a bone in my hand(turned out i hadn't).I had pain when trying to load at the top and i couldn't take a divot.I was trying to pick everything clean and subconciuosly using my right hand to release .Everything went left because i was all out of syc.My solution was to rest the hand until the bruising went.I would suggest you post vickie for expert opinion

If you are in pain with what you are doing, and the wrist is healed... you might have to try something else.

It seems to me that a STROKE PATTERN using SINGLE WRIST ACTION, only go to the TOP(not END), then employ more of a RANDOM SWEEP RELEASE, could be helpful. You should still have CLUBHEAD LAG when doing this, just less #2 Accumulator Lag(less late hit). The Max Trigger Delay kind of thing might be stressful on the weak wrist.

Probably should get a qualified TGM instructor to take a look.

Of course rehab on the wrist is another option.
