For the "True" swinger, "Opening" the Plane Line until it is square to the Clubface alignment at the new "Aft" location, will produce a fade. With the Ball moved Forward, "Closing" the Plane Line square to the Clubface alignment at the new location, will produce a "Draw".
I'm having trouble getting this through my thick melon...I understand the gist of moving the ball forward for a draw and back for a fade for a swinger...the part I'm having trouble grasping is the "Opening" the plane line until it is square to the Clubface at the new "Aft" location bit.
I don't get how you open the plane line until it is square to the clubface alignment when you move the ball back and vice versa.
Can any of you machine heads beat this into my noggin?
For a true swinger-
Imagine you set up at Impact Fix (to keep things simple) and you have your normal ball position for your straight shot and you take your grip- Strong Single Action - left wrist vertical to the ground. Now, without regripping- you move the ball back say 2 inches- as you do that you keep the body stationary but the arms and hands come across your chest slightly and the clubface opens- i.e. the left wrist is still vertical to the ground. So the new aft location has the clubface pointing off to the right. Now, maintaining the same arm, hand, relationship to the body- i.e. maintain the entire power package to the body as it now is- you rotate the whole thing i.e. the feet, body, hands, arms around to the left until the clubface is square to your starting target direction. If you're going to fade the ball you would actual need that starting ball direction to be left of the final target where the ball is to end up.

That's the basics. Hope it helps.
Yes, that helps quite a bit. Thanks for the explanation and clearing up some fog for me
