Kenneth Ferrie.... a hitter?
I'm sure of two things about Mr. Ferrie....1) he has game
2) he has a personality and is fun to watch but I'm unsure as to wether he is a 'hitter.' Seems to load the shaft for hitting and seems to use the right triceps for power and although it is hard to see on TV... he might have been using angled hinging.... what say the experts.

To me it seems like too much FLOATING and SNAPPING and HORIZANTAL HINGING to be a hitter. The boy goes LEFT too much.

He was involved in a spat with Paul McGinely at The Irish Open which made Ferrie a little less than popular here in Ireland

See: http://www.rte.ie/sport/2006/0518/mcginleyp.html

But like you I enjoyed his play at the US Open and found him fun to watch.

Ha! Just when you think someone is a grownup, they go and say something like that. I could just see him 'thanking' McGinely for the advice... but honestly, he plays in Europe which includes Scotland and Ireland... he has probably played in 50 mph winds and he still doesn't know wind IS NOT an outside agent????? and I guess neither did Paul... strange, very strange.

I too find it incredible the ignorance of some Tour Pros on the basic rules of golf.
