Right Forearm 'down and out'
Been watching the TT videos and am trying to feel how to make this right forearm down and out motion, the karate chop with the right forearm

Im not sure I fully understand the motions so could some brave soul try and put it into words for me such that I have that eureka moment where I can finally visualise it and know what to do and how to feel it?

Not sure whether my shoulders/hips/legs should remain still or follow the motion of the right arm, what my wrists and hands should do etc

Someone put the lights on for me

Imagine you are going to skip a rock.

Now imagine that the 'lake' is on an inclined plane.

Let your body respond to the 'throw'.

pitch ot bat?
The golf stroke has always been more an underhand toss then an over the top sledging. Might be better to learn to throw a sidearm pitch then to bat.

Joe,

To get the feel of the swing...get a golf club and swing back and forth continuously without stopping, start with short strokes...then work up to pitch strokes and then finish up with full strokes while swinging back and forth without stopping, do ten to twenty swings at each level. Use your right forearm to control the swing...allow your body to respond.

As 6BMike said, get the feel of an underhand pitch motion per 10-3-B....

BTW, the beginning of the downstroke motion is down. It becomes down and out at release...the right forearm creates an up and down motion in the swing. The pivot creates the out....

Thanks guys

So is it a good feeling to try and drive the right forearm down at the ball (or to right field) and let the pivit respond?
