Hi all, i've switched to hitting my short irons recently which has shown a big improvement over my old swinging stroke. It just feels more structured to me which is great.
The next wobble i need to fix is slight scooping on my pitch shots. I can go down the range, hitting basic motion shots all day and take nice divots. The problem is kicking in with the acquired and full motion where i end up just brushing the grass or taking a very small divot(perhaps because the "hit" impulse becomes to great?).
Any ideas or drills which will help me take it to the course?

"Sustain (Yang/陽) the lag (Yin/陰)" is "the unification of Ying and Yang" (陰陽合一).
The "LAW" creates the "effect", which is the "motion" or "feel", with the "cause", which is the "intent" or "command".
"Lag" is the secret of golf, passion is the secret of life.
Think as a golfer, execute like a robot.
Rotate, twist, spin, turn. Bend the shaft.
Get a can of Spray paint . You will need an ID.
Draw a line sraight out from belt.
As AJ Boner would say Hit the middle groves into top of Ball .
Make a straight divot past the ball.
Stop at follow thru with wrist UNCOCKED.
Maintain your flying wedges
Denny,
I'm lost on drawing the line from the belt? How's that work?
Also . . . have you seen the AJ thing where he draws the clubface on peoples' hands? What do you think about that?
Let me ask you this . . . since we is Golfing Machinist . . . do you reckon we could take AJ's drawing the clubface on the hands and the idea of hitting the top of the ball with the middle grooves and combine them?
Like could we say hit the top of the ball with your flat left wrist or is that too goofy?
I know some people diss AJ and I think that thing he did in Golf Magazine was a little sketchy but some of his stuff ain't all bad.

Check your grip at impact fix. Flat left/bend right. Often a mis-aligned grip can be compensated for during a short motion, but the alignment problem shows up with a fuller motion.
Get into impact fix and try hitting punch shots from there.

Mentally draw a straight line Delivery Path from your #3 Pressure Point to the ball and move you Hands along that line. Practice in fromt of a mirror and with your eyes closed. Down and Out to low point. As pointed out previously, Drive the Ball into the Ground per 6-E-2-1.
