pp3 and the champions touch
I was thinking about an artical from ages back on putting

-----------------

The champions touch by seve ballesteros

Putting - Identify pressure point that gives you best feel

I use the standard reverse-overlap grip, which is a popular choice among fellow professionals. But more important than the actual mechanics of the grip is the fact I focus on maintaining a pressure-point in the right hand - specifically the right forefinger.

When I place my hands on the club I get a tremendous sence of feel from the right forefinger, and I try to maintain a nice relaxed grip pressure throughout the stroke that allows that feel to flourish.

This is important on all putts. ON the longer approach putts a good sense of feel assists you in rolling the ball the desired distance to the hole; on short putts, that sence of feel help you to keep the putter -face square to the line as you strike the ball towards the hole.

I'm almost entirely sure that Seve worked with Mac O'Grady about a decade ago. Maybe that's where he picked it up from, unless this article is older than that.

Great find matt. PP3 rears it's head once again in the history of the game. Remember what seve says here, PP3 can be both lag control and feedback for clubface control.
