If you mean visually straight back, as in the club head travels straight back from the ball. Then no, not correct. This would be "covering" the plane line and above the plane.
Ideally the club shaft in start up, travels the shaft plane, the club head moves back, up and in or on an arc visually and an extension of the club shaft would point at the straight base line/plane line. A hitter uses "angled" hinging.
