Lynn, just say you were approached by Nick Faldo after he split with Leadbetter and was slumping a bit again. For a few years he had one of the most "productive" swings ever. He was playing fantastic golf and had the ball on a string. How much would you change someone that had swung so effectively for so long? Would you incorporate the onplane RF at address which would be a fair change from his norm? Obviously i think he would be labelled a swinger. Would you also teach the RF takeaway as opposed to his pivot controlled hands? (I'm pretty sure he is this) I have Faldo's Winning Formula and he goes to decent lengths explaining how he "holds off" the release of the right hand thru the shot so he's definitely with us there. He also has the TGM wrist movements described down pat, with the right bending back on itself in the backswing. I'm interested in how much you might change a seasoned professional. A good topic for the Clubhouse Lounge if you get some spare time
I haven't seen Faldo's book, but everything I've ever heard him say about the swing in the course of his TV tower work has been interesting, and seems to me to be good. He doesn't say much, just a little thing here and there. About the right index finger, for example. Faldo seems to me to be one of those rare golfers who can with a little accuracy describe what he is doing.
