#2 Throw-out Throwdown Sunday! Sunday! Sunday!
What can Yellow do for you?

Lag is THE SECRET. Gotcha.

And . . . Improper PP3 pressure point pressure causes the Right Wrist to Flatten. Not good.

And . . . for Swingers, the INDIRECT Drive of Clubhead Lag is PP3's assignment.

And . . . for Swingers, the DIRECT Drive is Flywheel Motion of the Right Shoulder AND #2 the WRIST COCK.

So . . . Drag the Secondary Lever Downplane via #4.

Then . . . per the Sequenced Release decidedly UNCOCK #2 (the Left Wrist).

NOW . . Questions:

1. THROW-OUT of CF is assigned to #2, Right? Which is a vertical motion. So THROW-OUT is really a DOWNWARD motion?

2. So for Swingers PP3 is receiving the DIRECT Drive of Throw-Out i.e. the Uncocking to Full-Lever Extension of #2?

3. Do y'all Swingers concentrate on PP2?

Thanks!

Bucket

No book handy, but let's see if I can pick this one based on what I've read here and there and incubated.

Release consists of two independent parts: Uncock (#2) and Roll (#3). Release of the two is simultaneous or sequenced.

Uncock is indeed a DOWN motion and does not in itself contribute to Angular Speed (RPM), but DOES contribute to clubhead velocity (since the clubhead is being moved furher away from the fulcrum).

The primary reason for the uncocking is that we need to neutralize the cocking.

The reason we did the cocking in the first place was to shorten the Lever Assembly in order to be able to generate more Angular Speed for a given application of force.

Good enough?

Nice post metallion. 2 and 3 are so married in a Swingers stroke it is hard to seperate them even if they are released seperately. Down is on an incline plane and not vertical to the plane line.

I may be wrong about this . . . but I thought that Throw-Out was all about the flail. And that when you moved the flail in a straight line the swingle is out of line with the handle. But once out of the the club is out of the orbit of the hands it "falls out." And the wrist uncocks.

Is this on track?
