i have a set of ping isi s and they have zz65 shafts in them the 5 iron has a cpm of 308. i was thinking of getting the rifle flighted shafts, my question is has anyone reshafted ther sticks with these and did they notice the long irons going higher and the short irons going lower like it says. also my pings are c9 kinda light what where your before and after swigweights with the rifle flighted i think they are about 15 grams heavier than the zz65. thanks
i didn't notice that much of a difference. i reshafted my BeCu ISI's with rifle flighted. qualify that with not being that accomplished in the first place. i went down a flex since i bought them used (stiff).
Call me a cynic but flighted steel shaft launch angles do not seem to have much difference in flight to me but they do have a different feel to the shafts because of the kick point change.
Now launch angles on graphite shafts these days DO have a major difference due to the change in construction of the shafts.
Find a launch monitor and try before you buy anything so that your eyes and ego don't get in the way
