Can someone explain "Inside Out Cut Shot Therapy" in layman's terms?
I gather the objective is to hit the ball to the right of where you are aiming so that you don't steer down the target line?
With a Putter or Chipping Club, swing the Clubhead radically Inside-Out across the Target Line while keeping the Clubface Square to the Target. The Ball will go straight toward the Target.
The object of the exercise is to teach the player that the Ball goes where the Clubface is "looking" and not in the direction of the Clubhead Path. Thus, it reduces the inclination to Steer the Clubhead down the Target Line.

Thanks Yoda, the description in the book regarding the closed-closed stance (from memory) confused me a bit but your explanation is clear and i've been doing it correctly!

Yes! The object of this drill/exercise is for you to DISMISS the LINE OF FLIGHT OF THE BALL!
You must swing RADICALLY out to right field . . . try 45 degrees. Steering is swinging the clubhead toward the green. Keep the clubhead going to right field but let the clubface handle getting the ball to go toward the target. You have a clubhead line which is your delivery line which in this case is WAY out to RIGHT FIELD. You clubFACE is what sends the ball to the target . . . it must be square to the target at SEPARATION. Keep the clubhead going right and DISMISS THE DAMN TARGET LINE!!!
Remember, when using a Putter or Chipping Club for Inside-Out Cut Shot Therapy, the Ball spends little or no time in the air. Hence, there is little or no opportunity for the Venturi Effect to introduce a curve to the Flight Path. And, even if it did, the initial direction of the Ball will still be at 90 degrees to the Clubface (and not to the Clubhead's Path).
