The other unusual thing was I only lost 1 ball (I usually go through quite a few in a round). The ball I lost was on a tight fairway with houses lined down the left side and the wind was blowing left to right. I started the ball down the right side and the wind pushed it OB.
The best thing about yesterday was on the back 9 I played my regular golfing buddy in match play. I outdrove him on a couple of holes (a alltime first for me!), and I beat him in the match!
Definitely getting excited about the upcoming season!!
