Yup, brian has given me this "lesson" before but i have been instinctly doing it all my putting life.
Basically, it is what Phil M does when he does the "circle drill." He is finding the perfect straight putt around the "circle." Then he finds the break.
Once you know both, you know how much up/down hill and how much left/right the break will be all around the "circle."
