Experienced golfer starting TGM
Yoda,

I am an experienced golfer just deciding to start TGM instruction. I haven't even found an instructor yet. What would you suggest I do before beginning lessons? Should I buy the book and start reading, read all the forums, etc? In other words really try to begin to understand. Or would it be better to just go in cold so as to not have any preconceptions or misperceptions?

Congrats on the new site by the way. I'm sure it will be a rewarding experience for both you and all of the TGM'ers who access it.

Definitely buy The Book, Heat. And read the Forums. And post your questions for responses from seasoned travelers further down the road. Also, begin the Dowel and Impact Bag drills. These can be accessed soon on this site and now under my posts at www.brianmanzella.com and www.chuckevans.com. It's less than 90 days until the azaleas bloom, and you need to be ready!

Where are you located? The Forum Folk can help you locate a qualified instructor -- ideally (but not necessarily) TGM-trained.

Thanks for posting. Keep it up, and enjoy your trip. This is my 26th year in TGM, and I'm more fired up than ever!

Thanks for the reply. I am located just south of Terre Haute Indiana. From the TGM website it appears that Brian Manzella may be the closest TGM instructor, although that is 2 1/2 hours away. There is a TGM instructor in the northern part of the state, but that is much farther than Louisville.

Although I am sure there are many fine instructors in Indianapolis, hopefully a city of that size will have a will have a TGM-trained person there in the future.

Look no more, Heat. Brian's your man. Load up a couple of your favorite tapes or CDs, and turn that buggy toward The Italian Stallion. You'll be glad you did!

Hello Heat

Let me just tell a brief road trip story. My friend and I drove six hours to see a AI (Doctorate) we spend the night at some cheap hotel got up the next morning spent the hole morning with Mr. Doyle after spending some time with him my golf swing felt so wrong that it was right. We have been going about it all wrong way! We did not even have a clue on how many componets their are but we do now! We now have educated hands We started all over again But it was well worth it. Before you get better you have to be willing to go thru the change. I can tell you this I have never seen or heard a ball be compressed like the TGM AI do it I drive two and half hours now and I don't mind. You will find out soon Good luck and load up the music

P.S Stay under the radar!
