Left Hand and Right Hand Positions
Hello,

This is long sorry.

I have been reading TGM for about 6 months. I can honestly say that since I started using the flying wedges (or at least what I think are flying wedges) and keeping my right hand bent and level through my whole swing, my slicing has gone from 1 out of 3 drives, to no slices in 10 rounds straight. I have been hitting the ball great, my playing partners are telling me I am not going to be invited anymore soon. I just turned 30 but my goal was to break 89 before I turned 30. I shot two 85's at two different courses two weeks before I turned 30! I was excited. I have followed that up with high 80 scores since (need to work on short game and reduce those blow up holes), I was probably in the high 90's every round being very inconsistent.

So my question if anyone can help me with some fine tuning of the hand positions.

Left Hand, when setting up. I just realized that I have typically had the clubshaft running through the middle/bottom of my left hands meaty pad portion. I always feel like the club isnt secure. I was reading today in TGM and found 10-2-0 General, "the clubshaft lies under the heel". So does the clubshaft kind of wedge under the ending of the meaty part of the heel for better support? I was playing around at the house and I feel more clubshaft support with the club kind of wedged in there. But what happens then is in order to achieve that wedged position the space between the bottom of my theft thumb when I collapse my hand around the shaft increases to approx .75 inches. I would always play with the clubshaft running through the middle of the meaty part of my palm and then the bottom of my left thunb area with about .2 inches when collapsed around the clubshaft but then the club isnt really supported in the under the heel area when I do this. Is this wrong? I think it is the more I look at it as I am typing this.

Thanks for your time reading this. I have more questions about the right hand but I will save it for later.
