How often do you stop by the LBG Gallery and look at the Yoda-Hogan side by side pictures? Hula Hula with a very powerful right shoulder driving down to the ball. The left shoulder, just as Mr. Kelley says, just reacts to the right shoulder. I think some of us spin that left shoulder out to early. Accumulator #4 is released by the right shoulder- the right shoulder thrust. Leave the left shoulder alone so it can be the fulcrum and hinge pin.
Nice pics, almost as good as a side by side picture of Liv Tyler and Kiera Knightley.

And remember, everybody, that 'rising' Left Shoulder people sometimes focus on during the Downstroke is simply being driven to its Impact Fix location.

Would it be true to say the left Shoulder must be driven to its Impact Fix location otherwise the geometry of the swing is lost?
Speaking of geometry, and I’m not sure if they signify anything but these right angles and parallel lines intrigued me.
Great capture of Hogan's move to the ball. Reminds me of Moe Norman's 42 inch lag-drag drill to the ball. Also Cory Pavin's preview drill for his approach shot at Shinnecock.

On the posted student examples on the "after swing" I noticed the lead arm separated much farther from the body on the backswing than in the "before pictures". (Also different than recommendations of all the One Plane Teachers)
No pictures of students closing in on impact were shown, so Couldn't see the lead arm/body relationship at that point.
since the head can be trained to remain motionless in space while different body parts move all around below it, then it makes sense that the lead shoulder can be trained to stop at a certain point in space while the trunk moves into it.
almost the opposite of all the new one plane teachings.

Welcome aboard, Bob. Thanks for your first post. Keep'em coming!
I met Bob at the Atlanta Golf Show where I was speaking about G.O.L.F. for three days. I guess I said some things that weren't pure gibberish, and we spoke afterwards. He's a seeker of the truth and a gentleman. He has wonderful experiences in many methodologies, and teaches here in Atlanta.
Is it wrong to focus on driving left shoulder up and back rather than right down and forward? I always had an issue with over the top and using a mirror figured out that working my left up and back made my right work properly. As a matter of fact, for me, it seems to work well to get more power too, harder left work, the better I work down.
Am I crazy? Wrong? Misguided?
Thanks.

You are neither crazy, wrong or misguided.
You are just using an equivalent.
Left shoulder up = Right shoulder down
Left wrist flat = Right wrist bent
