Plane shift and touch
Question to the TGM experts:

Will a plane shift in the down swing promote distance control on less than full shots.

The reason for asking: The last year I've been working on getting in a position where I can be agressive from the top/end. A right arm takeaway and a steeper shoulder turn than earlier is part of the solution. I've achieved a more consistent distance from 100 yards and out - and my GIR statistics has improved a lot

However - on Royal Aberdeen the other day - with the wind up - I really needed the ability to take two clubs extra and hit/swing it easy with a low trajectory. I used to be pretty good at that, but somehow I have lost that ability with the new swing plane or whatever. Earlier years I had a pretty upright stance and had to bring the club down to hip height before I could really crank it. While it was harder to get consistent result on full shots, it seems (by now) to have made it easier to deliberately strike the ball consistently with less than a full effort.

Is a plane shift necessary to control less than full shots?
