Being a new hitter,i am finding myself sometimes swinging when i stop concentrating on hitting.i must say learning to hit has helped with my swinging,i sometimes get a bit jammed up swinging and ruin the CF.the great thing about hitting is you dont need to be in a "Rubber" like state to perform a your best.so the question is "is it better to concentrate on one only to try to perfect it,or SWING between to two?pardon the pun.
Swing with certain clubs and Hit with others. It gives the brain something to grasp on to. When I grip my Driver- everything inside me knows it is to Swing. When I pick up my eight iron, it gets excited to Hit.
I would also set aside a Hit only week of practice. Hitting needs some time to incubate those new Hitting thoughts inside your "computer."
If you pre-turn your left hip and your address is from impact address position, and you think that you are hitting the ball as per 10-19-a (right arm thrust into the ball, could you still be considered a swinger? Now the reason for the question. I have studied with myAI who really only teaches swinging(Mike Jacobs) but from many hours of practice and tinkering,I have begun to play from the above described position which appears to be that of a total hitter. Thanks again guys for all the posted videos etc.
sorry for that post coming back a few times. Kept getting that it failed. I guess I just have to be a little more active in the posting dept and not be so nerveous about doing it. Sorry again guys.

If you intend to play at your best, I'd HIGHLY encourage you to stick with one.
I teach, and it's important for me to be able to demonstrate both. However, I will NEVER swing on the golf course. Be a master of one instead of being average at both.
Since removing all swinging components from my game, I've done some remarkable things. Getting caught in between can be the one melt down that it takes to remove you from the leaderboard.
