Hello fellow TGM'ers the weather is now pleasant in sunny Palm Springs California; 80 degrees......... I am a local resident extending an invitation to other TGM'ers traveling here on business or vacation to look me up to play g.o.l.f. Let's tee it up this winter in the desert.

Whoa, Torsten...watch that mailbox! Palm Springs in winter and an open invitation to play golf is a dangerous combination!
For those who don't know:
Torsten is one of the all-time great guys and a wonderful Swinger of the Golf Club. He was a student in my Pine Needles Workshop in August 2004, and we have been friends ever since. Check out 6bmike's photographic journey of that Workshop in The Gallery (with Irish jig music yet!) and be sure to click 'view full screen' near the bottom of the page. http://www.lynnblakegolf.com/forum/v...se_images&g=12
Torsten is in at least two of the photos...he's the guy sitting right in front of the standing Peggy Kirk Bell when I've got my back to the camera and, also, the guy holding the club when I'm sitting on the bench guiding a Straight Plane Line.
My favorite memory of Torsten at Pine Needles was the last day when Peggy had come back from church with one of her best friends (a senior USGA official), and they were watching him hit balls at the far left of the range. Peggy turned to her friend and said, "That is one of the best swings I have ever seen. Why is he not on TOUR?" The USGA official simply nodded her head.
Torsten's career history to date somewhat parallels my own in that he put his love of golf -- and his natural talents -- on the back burner as he assumed his responsibilities as a family man. Only time will tell where his journey leads.
I am privileged to have Torsten as a friend and delighted he has chosen to read and post on our site.

Geometry and Physics,
Torsten
Bummer, I just got back from PS last week. I played Terra Lago, Silver Rock Resort and Tahquitz Creek, as part of the Michelob Ultra National Championships (3rd place). As I got off the plane, my comment was that it would take me about an hour to get used to the weather. Beautiful place, great weather, and outstanding golf... what a combination. Stayed out at Fantasy Springs, and played, now let me see... 72 holes in the tournament, and 3 practice rounds in a total of 6 days. Very sad to leave... Hope your mailbox doesn't overflow
