I think your doing great! As far as balance is concerned you now have less inertia, perhaps greater range of motion, sinus pressure or your blood sugar might be low. As for distance all you can do is maximize your technique for your strength and flexibility. Even the best players in the world lose power with their shoulder turn as they age.
