sore hands
swinging, with single action grip (i think) and have the sort of half overlap as seen used by Yoda on another forum, play right handed. I'm wearing out my hands in two places:
1. first joint of the left index finger, bottom of the outside edge.
2. right thumb, second joint, inside bottom corner.

Is this normal? If not is it more likely due to poor mechanics.. or grip?

Is overlaping the left index finger ontop of the right an acceptable alternative?

From my understanding, the parts of your hands that should feel the most pressure is still the first joint of your right index finger (PP#3), the pad of your left thumb (PP#1), and a bit in your last two left fingers (PP#2). I think Yoda even said that your PP#3 should ache at the end of the day.

Where you see wear suggests your grip is slipping at the top, causing the grip to rub into your V of your right hand, thus the thumb pain. Not sure what's causing the pain in your index finger.

"3. There is no wobble in the Clubshaft attachment (Grip)." TGM requires probably more grip pressure than other famous instructors (e.g. Snead) recommend. Firm hands to maintain the correct pressure points. Hope this helps.

slipping, yes that may be happening thanks. I notice my right thumb doesnt sit flush on the grip, I mean it contacts with the grip on it's side, not on the flashy pad. Is that normal?

The left finger may be worn because ive been doing alot of abreviated follow thru's and may have been using it to help stop the momentum
