Does anyone know what swing change Ben Crane made to help relieve his back pain? It seems to be working well, whatever it is!!!

My guess - any day - would be going 10-14-B.

Why is the Slide Hip Turn( 10-14-B) easier on the Back?

No answer to the "why" in medical terms. All from practical experience. In a session with Yoda he said it would help me cause less strain on my lower back. And he was indeed right. To me 10-14-B provided a remarkable improvement.

I do not really know if it would give the same improvement for everyone, but for me it was remarkable enough to guess it every time.

As I recall Yoda had personal experience. I may be wrong about that it was actually 10-14-B that fixed hit for him, but modifying the hip slide helped him A LOT.

I have to leave it to Yoda to tell the story. If there is one.

Actually, metallion, it involved more than just the Hip Turn, though that was certainly part of it. Instead, it was a total 'wrench of the concepts' as to how the Pivot operates in the Downstroke. It suddenly became very clear to me -- thank you, Incubator! -- how the great Champions have moved through the Ball and how that action differs from the rest of us. I'll see if I can't put up a little video soon that will differentiate the 'Before and After' in my own case.

Meanwhile, it's off to the airport and Grand Blanc, Michigan. The PGA TOUR is in town, and I'll be doin' my thing on the Practice Ground of the Buick Open.

Warwick Hills, meet the Swamp-Meister!

Cool! I just got an invite from an old High School friend - if everything works out, I'll be checking out my first tour event!
