Bubbalicious!

What do you think of Bubba's win?

A lot of talent and emotions. And self taught!?

He has earned it. He is one of the best players in the world.

He seems to be highly underrated as a ball striker. He hits the ball a mile, works it like no one else and ranks among the best on the GIR statistics.

His mechanics are IMO underrated as well. His swing looks different but he has certain fundamentals in place in a superior way. Plenty of lag pressure going on at the moment of truth and he seems to hold his load longer than most. He also has a wide finish, where the hands stay out in front, still in sync with his pivot. It is very different from the typical hands flying by and club coiling around the neck. And I think it is better too.

It's very refreshing to see someone playing like that win a major !

I was expecting him to start spraying balls around as he got tense since he seems to rely a lot on hands timing to produce these amazing curves with the ball... but not that much and only in the last hole (he played the two 18 holes brilliantly from tee to green).

Bubba uses a vertical hinge on his iron shots, even 200+ yd approaches.

A well deserved win.

He earned it - 4 birdies in a row on the back nine on Sunday at Augusta - 6 birdies on the day.

Not a bad bounce back after his second bogey of the day on 12!

And the shot on 10 in the playoff - not a lot of guys could pull that off, especially under the pressure.

Congratulations to Bubba!!!

I wonder what next years Champions dinner will be? :)

I'd like 50 BBQ wings to go....

Is it me or is he disconnected with a chicken wing on occasion? I think a platter of wings can be a beautiful thing so I'm not being critical. :laughing9

Seems like I also recall seeing that sometimes, probably on his 40 yd "fades". :confused1

Hey, at least Bubba knows which way the ball is going,

Hogan, Nicklaus, Trevino, and Vardon had the same 'problem'!

:laughing1

Nice to see

It was nice to see him 'huggin on his mama and other pros congratulating him. A female friend of mine was crying when he was crying. Very human! :)

How would you describe your personal style of play?

Bubba may or may not be a lot of things, but generous with kids I know he is. Saw him a year ago at a daily fee course south of WS, NC out on the range with all the kids. He was the Pied Piper and his wife was with him. This was how they were spending their day-with the junior players. He is AOK in my book based solely on this day. Also, I hear he is going to have Lexington NC barbecue at his Champions dinner next year. That is some good eatin'.

What would Homer think?

I think he would love it. No right, wrong, or best...
