Apart from being totally chuffed that I brought another member to the site there is a problem here and addressed this before. You HAVE to do one of two things....

1. Let all the forums be viewable to guests - when they want to post they will have to sign up....

2. Don't let the forum be viewable to guests and show them they have to be logged in to view the page....

I would personally go for no1 for maximum promotion. Right now a new user will come to the forum and see partial list of categories but none of the interesting ones to outsiders and since they don't see it they don't understand that when you register you get a whole lot more.... You are losing people this way....
