Compensation for back pain

I'm working through some lower right back issues and have found something that allows me to swing pain free.

One thing I've discovered is if I setup with my right foot drawn back about to the middle of my left foot, I can swing relatively pain free. While the feet might appear closed, I am still keeping my hips and shoulders square to the target line. Kind of similar to Hogan's stance in the West Palm Beach video.

I'm wondering if there are any compensations I should be making because of the setup I'm taking? For now, I'm just "digging it out of the dirt" and can hit the ball pretty darn well this way. I guess if I have a miss it tends to be a hook, as you might have guessed.

I like doing that for long shots (Driver, long irons, etc.) to free up my backswing turn...

For short shots (Angled Hinge) it feels fine for me until Impact...it feels restrictive with clearing my hips through the ball.

I'm not sure what Homer/Yoda would have to say.
