Clubface at the Top - General Question
 

Dumb question time for again me ..

There was a previous thread that got me to thinking. In it might have been the answer but I am not sure.

At the Top, why is it that the 'Clubface' position is used as a measurement or check point?

I know many do this observation, but the more I have thought about this I am beginning to think that this is not 100% valid as a check point. There are many factors that play a role in the actual 'Clubface' position at the top. First their is the grip. The position of the ball at Impact Fix. Then there is one factor, some may call it a compensation, but Kelley told us we can adjust our hands ('Dont be hesitate to adjust the Grip for better direction").

Given the above, the position of the clubface at the top seems to be a questionable check point since there are so many variables, variables that are valid, that can skew what we see?

Heck just the difference in length of the back stroke between a hitter and swinger who are equal in all other areas can give the appearance that one has it right and the other has it wrong.

Other than old school, is this really what one might call a 'premium check point' in the golf stroke?

Is this a check point that TGM would emphasize?

Monitoring The Clubface Alignment
 

The Clubface Alignments -- Clubface-to-Target Line and Grip-to-Clubface (2-J-1) -- are established during Impact Fix as an integral part of the Flying Wedges Assembly (12-3-0 / Section 2). Thereafter, the Clubface should be monitored only indirectly via the Left and Right Wrist conditions (6-B-3-0-1).

Yes Yes.... I do get it then...

I keep trying to see why I don't get the interest or signifiance between why people see as in this case the clubface alingment and conclude that the golfer is in trouble.
