Could Standard Address be better for those employing the "lagging" Right Forearm Pick Up recommended for Swingers?

Impact address promotes rigid structure and the carryback of the entire primary lever assembly.

I find it is easier to set and maintain the stationary head.

Why didn't Homer suggest using impact fix address in his sample Hitting and Swinging patterns?

I would guess it is that one needs to have a solid grasp on the right forearm motion to use impact fix address well. Without a proper program in the computer, it is all too easy to be off plane starting at fix. It is also all too easy to be out of Rhythm (swingers).

Astute observations, Ed. I agree on both points.

All the more reason to start from impact fix no?? Greater precision.
Wish I new what Homer was thinking.

Hi MB,
May I offer another perspective? (I'll take that as a yes - lol).

Ok - A swinger. What is he doing? Feeling and Manipulating centrifugal force, right? And when/how is the best time to do that? From the.....GET GO! The motion!!! Take a rope - go to impact fix, and try it. Now - standard address, try again! Which is better - and remember -drag that baby back!

Ok...now....imagine you are gonna carry that clubhead back - and then drive against it. Impact fix...yes...you got it....

Like pulling a lawnmower - back - stop - drive!!!!!!!

Do it - seriously.

And Homer never ever said you cannot do either - but keep in kind the purpose....and switch them up...then, you tell me the answer to which is easier for which.

Any questions?
