Release Point Changes
Looking for some clarification on how a swinger alters the release point of his motion. I've been working on max trigger delay for a while now but experimented last night with what "felt like" a much earlier release point. The compression felt much stronger and impact felt "heavier" than I've been experiencing with max delay. I'm just not sure I understood how I achieved the earlier release, but it felt like it was a combo of pivot and right arm participation. Uh-oh.... that sounds like trouble.
Are acceptable release point changes achieved through aiming point, pivot deceleration, delivery lines, throws, all the above? CG |

Thanks, your explanation clears up the inter-relationships. Now I need to determine if I'm using the Right Arm or the Shoulder Turn Throw. CG |
Is there a chart somewhere that lists which actions are best for other actions and which actions should not be mixed? It sure would help this n00b.

The phrase "most compatible" with the hand throw is no where to be found in 10-24-A. The closest stroke that I would use the phrase "most compatible" with if we are talking about the hand throw trigger would be "Hands Only" Putting Stroke. DG |
Thanks. I don't know how I missed that. I got my book last week and have been going through it -- slowly.

Trigger and Release Type Combinations

Another example would be the ommission of the Wrist Throw in Combination with the Delivery Path Throw. In fact, one could argue that the Wrist Throw occurring in an Automatic Snap Release is the Delivery Path Throw. |

I've always had that in my mind but didn't have the courage to say it! |
