Body size and TGM
Thanks for TGM. I understood the importance of grips and flying wedges after viewing all threads over here. However, I still have a question regarding my size. I am a 5’7” tall Asian golfer and my hands’ size is: 7 and half inches with 3 inches long middle finger. My clubs and grip is standard MP33 asia version, does the grip size; length and lie angle affect the alignments of my strong-single grip and flying wedges? I always feel like that the top part of left hand grip can't attached to the heel pad!

Leon,
The most important thing in grips, is make sure you have a sense of stability and awareness of the #3 pressure point; the bottom pad of your right index finger, and the #2 pressure point(s); the last three fingers of your left hand, so there is no wobble in those areas. Wobble will manifest itself in the form of calluses in areas not associated with the above. I just purchased another set of grips today because the current set didn't fit. I don't like to wear gloves. I feel that if your alignments are right, lag pressure is controlled, the swing has no wobble, and the grip fits there is no need for gloves. JMHO Bagger |
