Driver weight help
I apologize in advance for asking a primarily equipment oriented question. Have any of you hitters found it necessary to go to a heavier driver shaft to assist with a deliberate tempo and to feel there is something to push against?

No need to apologize....lol....we mostly talk about the swing....but this is very welcome as well.
Welcome to the forum. I'm not a Hitter (primarily) but I DO like heavy clubs. More Lag Pressure I think....or at least more Lag Pressure feel....and clubhead feel if you have heavy swingweights. |

The next thing is to intend to keep that "adjusted weight" constant from starting down to finish. |

I've recently put a DGSL steel shaft in my driver a Bridgestone j33r 420 and it is working superbly for me - Low spin, lower trajectory, tight dispersion & great roll - I figured why pay mega $'s for a 90 gram graphite with the same tight specs and weight as the $10 DG SL - I find the heavier shaft helps me keep on plane and is easier to push against.

Thanks everyone
We finally had a few nice days so I worked with the driver. For me at least, I did much better with a heavier club. This was true on the range and on the course. I can definitely see where practicing that "heavy" feel with a very light driver could help my techique however. Thanks again for your thoughts.
