Can you hit with a pitch elbow??

Recently I have been hitting the ball by just taking the club back and attempting to drive the right elbow into my left hip pocket, or trying to obtain a pitch elbow position. When done correctly, I create a great deal of lag and hit the ball well.

Is this still considered a hit??

My old way of hitting was to attempt to push with the right arm, using the right shoulder as a platform.

Any thoughts??

Magic of the right forearm...right arm acceleration.

It works well.

When you refer to right forearm acceleration, are you referring to accelerating the entire forearm from wrist to elbow??

In effect instead of the forearm lining up behind the clubhead shaft, should you be attempting to keep it perpendicular to the shaft??

Thanks
