I am struggling to become a Hitter. I am having difficulty envisioning "Tracing" the Square Plane Line versus "Covering" the Closed Plane Line as discussed by Yoda. Can you elaborate on "Tracing" versus"Covering"? How can I visualize or feel the difference in these two approaches?

When Tracing, the Sweetspot 'points at' the Straight Plane Line. When Covering, the Sweetspot 'covers' -- is directly above -- the Straight Plane Line. To see the difference, stop your Stroke at the end of Start Up. Then, allow the Clubhead to drop straight down. If you are 'pointing,' the Clubhead will fall inside the Line, even though the Shaft was pointing at the Line. If you are 'covering,' the Clubhead will fall directly on the Line.

You mention you are "struggling to become a Hitter." It is perfectly acceptable for both Hitters and Swingers to use the same Straight Plane Line of 10-5-A, and I suggest you continue to use it until you become proficient. That would also be Homer's suggestion. In fact, that is why 10-5-A is the recommended Plane Line in the non-customized Hitter's Stroke Pattern (12-1-0). Only after you have learned to Drive the Clubhead through Impact on the conventional Plane Line would I recommend you venture forth into the Angle of Approach procedure.
