Weighted Dowel? What do Y'all think?

Anybody ever added wieght (possibly to the equivalent of a clubhead) to the dowel? Just wondering. The cool thing about the dowel is it's just you and your hands. No clubhead or clubface to worry about. It's great for working on alignments. But could it be a better tool to teach lag if you added weight to the end somehow? So you could get a better feel for lag?

I keep a dowel and an old sandwedge in the living room. After working with the dowel, the sandwedge feels "different." Not real heavy or anything. It's hard to describe. I guess I just feel like I have less control than with the dowel.

I don't really know how you would add weight to it. But I have seen this putting aid that just had a lead ball at the end of a shaft. That could be the ticket.

Keep those creative wheels turning, 12 piece, I like the way you think. I can see it now...

The Yoda Dowel Signature Series!

And if we do a premium line in titanium for The Privileged Golfer...

Oh, that's just too delicious to think about!
