VERY late elbow fold, wrist cock
A few big issues have been solved, but still got more.
One really noticable big issue is this. In my backswing I start out taking it back and cupping the right wtist as the first move back, so far so good. But from there untill my hands get past, not at but past, hip high, no wrist cocking or elbow bending is going on. when my hands are at nine oclock my club head is not even at ten oclock, To be precise it is at about 9:42. what issues might this cause, and how should I fix it. Also, I read in hogans book how when he waggled he wanted his right elbow to touch his ribs, does this aid in the folding of the right elbow, and could someone elaborate on this move? |

This can be very effective, however you must play a fade using that approach IMO, and generally you'd want a fairly steep plane angle. You may want to check your right forearm position in a mirror, chances are it is too high at address (your right wrist is not 'level') or your shoulders are open. Check your flying wedges and your wrist positions at impact fix. |

oh, forgot to mention, my plane angle is very shallow. thanks for your response, I look forward to the next one |

Sounds almost like a SNAP POWER PACKAGE LOAD, WHICH COULD BE COMBINED WITH A FLOAT LAG LOAD. I think Bobby Clampett used to do something similar. Really need to see some pictures to know more. |
it makes me very inconsistent, especially on half shots and stingers

was messing around yesterday and was doing right arm only swings while holding it against my right side with my left arm. club head came more up. Think this might be a good drill to train that right arm?

thanks for the replies guys!!!
Jim, I think I misread one of your responses. So are you saying that the right wrist may not be level but rather uncocked, is that what you were implying? Is there a good video that shows you how to check the wedges, I have focused on my set up but I guess I really need to make sure. Also, Took a laser and put it in the but end of my club tonight, on my back swing it goes 3 feet outside of the ball, can somenone explain where that laser should be pointing on back swing, down swing? It was interesting getting that thing poining on the ball line, the instant feedback made it much eaiser to correct, I believe EDZ that you have mentioned you like the laser. |
