Titanium Shafts

Anyone have experience using titanium shafts? Seems like logical choice given lighter stronger properties and seamless construction.

Ti Shafts

I like them, my primary driver is an SMT 420 on a TT Ti soft stepped Stiff. Don't know the whole history but you can find them sometimes on ebay for a deal. On a wood, they can be stiff and hard to load if not fitted well. I putzed with 4 variations before I found the one I like. Several were telephone poles.

Have 3 drivers (all SMTs) set up with them, now, they load very nicely, feel like silky smooth, and give near or close to the same distance as a mid-weight graphite. I don't find them to feel the same as steel, tho. Just a bit different; not better or worse... The ones I have installed and the ones I still have raw, don't have as pronounced a spine as graphites I have installed...

YMMV, tho. Some folks reeeally don't like them  What are you thinking of doing with them?

I'm considering going with them in my irons. I just recently hade a 6 iron made up for testing. I'll feedback.

Ti was big for driver shafts in the mid 90s. Many a player found that then ended up bent after a few months of play. The did not seem to have the resilience of steel or graphites. If there are Ti's around now they just have to be better than the old versions.

I have not seen any at all for irons though.
