Monitor the sweet spot plane?

Is there a way to check/monitor the sweet spot plane so that
you know that you are on the plane correctly? In other words,
can you look at the back of the left hand, at the hosel, the
clubface, or the clubface leading edge? Previous posts suggest
that feel is the indicator. I would like to find something that is more mechanical.
