Jack Kuykendall grip
Anyone have thoughts on the Jack Kuykendall grip as described in the latest Golf Illustrated. Used to be my favorite golf periodical (only one that has loads of TGM hidden among the pages). Still like it but this single article makes me suspect their editors.
The article is at the end and basically says the grip is why golfers have not dropped their scores below 100 since the game was invented. Anyone use his grip? Tried and failed, tried and succeeded? |
People I know have tried this method indicate they are more accurate but do lose significant distance. That palm grip and whole procedure is a hitting type of action.

thanks all
Definitely a hitting type of procedure. I mentioned the article to a friend on the range on Sunday and he has tried this stuff. Showed me some of the highlights which didn't seem too impressive. He switched back to "regular" swinging after about 6 months of trial and error hitting using LPG.
The more I learn, the more I like TGM. |
