Felt True Swinging for the first time

messing around at the range, I believe I truly felt a "true swing" not hands manipulated swinging, for the first time. It's a great effortless feeling motion and the club does square itself without any effort. What I learned was critical to success in this motion, moreso than hitting or hands manipulated swining was ball position. For others it may be different, but for me, I had to have the ball a bit more forward than I would normally play it to give the club time to square itself. Result as a very powerful, slight fade. If ball position was back, I would have a tendency to hit pushes to the right.

It was very strange just swinging the club and truly trusting the hands to take care of themselves.

Congratulations, Tball.

No less than Bobby Jones described what you are feeling as "free-wheeling" through the Ball. It is indeed a glorious feeling and testament to the power of Centrifugal Force to deliver effortless Clubhead speed while aligning both the Clubshaft and the Clubface for Horizontal Hinging through Impact.

Yoda, as you know, I am a hitter, and will continue to hit, just trying to clear the fog and gain a better understanding of swinging. It was enlightening to me to feel the hands horizontal hinge on their own. I have always strugged employing a horizontal hing (perhaps too much hitters tension), however if you truly let go, the horizontal action will occur. One must trust...
