Do They Know?
In the past I THINK many/most good players(including tour players) did not really know what they did in their swing. They could just do it...WELL. There were some that wrote books(instruction books), and I think many of these were written by ghost writers. A few of them even went into teaching, like Tommy Armour, BobToski, Gardner Dickinson, Phil Rodgers, etc., and did/do very well, and were/are good teachers. Most of them, however, probably did not know what they did, and did not want to think about it too much.
They just had certain things, and feels that they used... that worked for them. Do you think today's players are any different? It seems that a few more of them are starting to actually understand and know what they do. Some of them are doing quite well. What do you think? |

The grip is a problem with kids- it is like tying shoe laces- their hands aren't ready yet. Fun drills- get plastic balls and let them hit them at you. |
Figure it out
They are always trying to figure it out, as well.
