right arm down

Good morning all,my question today is this,on the start of downswing with r/arm/elbow,should the elbowbe bent as long as possible with the feeling of forearm and club trailing until elbow gets to about hip height before straightening down and out, keeping in mind r/wrist still in bent position. Thanks in advance Terry

Yes, sounds like Pitch Basic Elbow position. In any elbow position, Pitch, Punch or Push- the right elbow should remain bent through impact, even through low point and be fully extended for the first time in follow through.

Boxers punch rather than a straight arm jab - through rather than at.

punch

Thanks guys, adding to this ,I am getting a feeling that I,m hitting if u like, with the point where the wrist and forearm are bent,by using the dowels it is keeping the dowel in line with r/forearm,thru the downswing, hope u follow me. Terry

set-up routine

Hi all, went to practice fairway to-day,as it was cold and windy I decided just chip keeping in line with f/wedges set-up,low and behold I found that I was setting up automatically on every shot ,It went like this---clubface set to target with grip tilted toward target,r/foot square,l/foot set, then settled with right and hit . Best set-up ever encountered,I think it came from LB and J hull video,my point is ,I veiwed that video a couple of weeks back and I dont believe that I took much notice of his set-up routine ,but I must have done it sub-con,now its embedded in memory box,HOW COME. I was also chipping to sand scrape and could still get them to stop wich is no mean feat on s/scrapes using s/wedge and 9 iron...Thanks again LBG
