Downstroke and plane

Sorry hardly ever post, but have another question that I need a little defogging on. I seen several posts about the plane line, flashlights etc. I have a device that will flash on the plane line. However, I use the right hand pick up etc and the light traces the base of the plane line. But, when in the downstroke for a hitter they indicate coming on a straight plane line down out and forward. Would this mean that the laser or flashlight does not trace the base line of the plane but instead make a light beam coming from inside to the ball? Again thanks for your time and consideration in helping to lift the fog. Stan

Remember...only the "point" or "end of" that laser should be pointing at the plane line. Not the whole laser.

So unless you have the laser parallel to the plane line, then it must point to some "extension" (remember plane line goes for infinity in both directions) of the plane line.

hope that helps

I believe I know what you are asking. If I am right you are asking
should the laser beam from the top go at the ball (straight line) in hitting.

I will not attempt to give you an exact answer, but, the answer lies in
the pivot of the shoulders moving the laser light along the base plane.

( Take the above with a grain of salt as I am learning also.)

Yep That is what I am asking?

Thanks to the both of you...... you may have hit the nail on the head, I don't know.... the pivot along with the straight drive to the ball may display it back on the base of the plane...Any one else have an idea...
