Help on 3 wrist hinges

I am not fully understanding the 3 wrist hinges. Can someone explain in words what the wrist are doing. I saw the animation, but I am still confused. Thanks

Hinges

Cliff,

Go to the Archives page on this web site. Click on TGM archives-YODA. There you will find all the information you will need concerning Hinge Action.

Better yet, go to the LBG Classic Video section and look at Tom Tomasello's Video on hinging.

While watching the video notice the small stick on the clubface and where it points when he demonstrates each hinge.

animation

The animation under the Gallery was a helpful in confirming my understanding of the dual hinge, after reading Yoda's hinge primer and playing with the actual hinge doing each motion.

I guess I am confused as to when the right wrist is no longer bent? I see the 3 different types of hinges and the animation is helpful, but when in the followthrough is the right wrist straightening (if ever)?

Cliff,

The right wrist takes on a FEEL of always staying bent. But it will straighten slightly after both arms are straight in the follow through , then back to bent at the finish. NEVER TRY TO FLATTEN IT, IT WILL.

Hope this helps.
