Ball position
When I'm on the range, finding the right ball position isn't a problem; mishit a shot, or curve it too much one way or the other, and I move the ball up or back. But when I'm out on the course, I have a problem finding the proper ball position consistently. Any suggestions on finding the right ball position from shot to shot during a round?

constant pre-shot routine, verify the alignments...

As stupid as this might sound and until it becomes ingrained in your brain...find the straight away ball position at the range OFF THE GRASS and have a friend help you measure EXACTLY where the ball was for each club.
Write them down and use it as reference on the course until you ingrain it. |
I use Ben Doyle's preshot. Works fine for me:

Thanks...
Appreciate the replies. It's always the little things  .

Always remember that ball position should be relative to the outside edge of LEFT SHOULDER, not the stance. Outside edge of left shoulder = low point. Width of your stance changes due to various factors, but width of your shoulder doesn't.
