TGM lessons- one month update.
 

It's been one month since I visited Marietta for lessons with Yoda and Yodasluke. Yoda and Yodasluke made a quick and massive change in this 22hcprs game. After taking lessons, I wondered if my new swing would last. I am happy to report that the improvement was not only immediate but it is long lasting. I am continuing to hit the ball better than ever. And the other day I shot my best score ever, an 83. An 83 for a person that was hovering around 95-100, I thought was not only unattainable but impossible. I am extremly grateful to Yoda and Yodasluke for my improvement.

Congratulations on your massive improvement! I have planned a couple of TGM lessons in the near future & your post makes me want the clock ticking at quadruple pace.

Are you able to share some of the key drills/aspecs/insights that got you cooking?

Actually I feel my improvement is based on the teachers more than the system. Even though iniatally I had difficulty understanding TGM. I immediately recognized students of Yoda and Yodasluke were getting remarkable results. The yodas clearly know TGM inside out. However, more importantly they are gifted teachers. They translated and enabled me to understand something (TGM)I regarded as very complex, into a vehicle for dramatic improvement. I had taken lessons many times inthe past without the results I received in Marietta.

Congratulations Brian, that is some massive improvement. I remember you mentioning that you had picked up about 50 yds with the driver and I am glad to hear it appears to all have stayed with you. I ran into a rough patch about a month after seeing Ted, but it smoothed out after I got back into the dowel drills and did some mirror work. It is a familiar pattern with me.... I hit it poorly, then I work at it and hit it pretty well.... then I stop working and just play... and eventually i hit it poorly again. I have the State Sen. Am. this coming week and after that I'm spending a full year working on this stuff so it is a habit fercryinoutloud..........

This is all marvelous stuff... this website is absolutely the best there is... we are surrounded by people who actually know all about the golf swing and more importantly share the information unselfishly. I'm very grateful for all this...

Thanks. It was a good golf week in my family. My son broke 40 twice, once in school and once with me. I totally understand what you mean about the nescessity to stick to the practice regimen. We are so excited how we are hitting the ball, we would rather play than practice. Good luck in the State am. I know you will give it your very best.

Good to hear from you. I have'nt seen Mike, I have been playing mostly at West Sayville. When I get up there I will be sure to let him know, that you send him your regards.

The Book, The AI, and The Player
 

I've said this before, but there is no substitute for a competent AI--not even the book.

It takes a lot of time to learn the book (but it's worth it, and it's fun), and it's extremely difficult to learn it on your own. The next problem is applying the book in order to break down your current Stroke Pattern to see what you're doing correctly and incorrectly. The problem after that is figuring out which Components you should use to fix your problems.

Simply put, a competent AI will be better able to diagnose your problems and fix them than you will with just the book. It's not even close--and I've tried!
