Mechanical Advantage

That is what actually changed the way she thought and channelled her mind to work on without any doubts on her mind. She now had a direction in what to work on instead theories to 'try' out. Lots of the fog was cleared and a new motivated Meghna emerged. What Lynn taught her to do is all in the book but to elaborate it was the FLW, the hinge actions and their effect on ball flight. They hit hundreds of balls in basic, acquired and total motion to understand these actions. Lots of dowel drills and impact alignments were explained.

She had a complete knowledge of what and how things work in the swing. She was tremendously focussed in accomplishing what she had to achieve - and we did. Hours on the range with me watching her she looked, looked, and looked till she got it right and kept going. Eventually she set her wedges and the FLW through impact giving her the results that she desired. Hours of mental work went in to manage her emotions and thought process in which "Every shot must have a purpose" played a great role. A lot left to do and cement even further. Lets hope she will get what she wants to acheive further in her Golfing career.

No substitute to hard work!!! After all where theres a will theres a way - The TGM way.

Vikram.
Vikram,

That is good mental stuff. What you believe will be reflected in your actions.

That is the Mental Advantage - knowing full well that what you believe in is based on something as untenable as the universal laws of physics and geometry.

How about the "Mechanical Advantage" that you were telling me over the phone?

Since 99% of golfers always want more distance, your exposition will be eagerly awaited by us!

For those that are not aware, Vik's student JJ recently won a Long Drive contest with other top amateurs in competition. JJ is a small lad by American standards, about 1.72m or 5'6. He won it with a blast of 314 yards.

My conclusion? Its either something in the food they eat, or something that Viki is teaching them from the Book...
