Left Arm Function
I received the following PM and am answering for the benefit of all.

Increasing pivot speed yields a trade-off with snap. To regain snap, I either have to add some left arm downward force or start with the hands a bit lower and less right elbow bend. I think that this puts me at the Top position that you employ. (Nothing wrong with that). In your Swing, for max trigger delay, does the right shoulder provide all the downward force required? Or do you add some left arm motion?
Golfie,

Per 6-B-4-A, the Right Shoulder Turn Thrust is against the Left Arm via PPt #4 (where the Left Arm contacts the side of the chest). This Loads the Lag and puts a Drag on #2 (the last three fingers of the Left Hand) and #3 (the meaty part of the Right Forefinger).

Now, it is quite possible that you may sense this Pulling Feel of the Drag Load as an 'active' Left Arm Action. However, that is 'Feel' and not 'Real.' The Left Arm remains essentially inert and provides little, if any, Muscle Power. However, its dual participation as the Radius of the Stroke and the Checkrein for the Right Arm (specifically, the Right Elbow) is tremendously important.

Thus, it renders an invaluable function and is worthy of Homer Kelley's label: The Master Accumulator.
