Also, my watch would be facing somewhat to right field. This 'normal' position of the arm as it hangs is a good guide for the left hand position. With a turned left hand grip, the thumb does go to the aft side of the shaft where it will provide support, but the turned hand has it's consequences. Instead of using a turned left hand to get my thumb on the aft side of the shaft, I separate my left thumb from my hand so there's a space between them. In order for the left arm flying wedge to keep from being destroyed, a turned left hand has to cock vertically and will have to bend to do so. The #3 pressure point must be placed on the aft side of the shaft, because that's where it will return. If the location of the #3 pressure point is not precisely secured, a change in clubface angle at impact can be the result.
Cool, is this a fair statement? "it is NOT necessary or even advisable to position the left hand directly facing the taget. the real key is the angle of approach"??

Does the back of the left hand face down tha angle of approach of the right forearm, or the angle of approach running from separation to low point?
