No, it's a full roll horizontal hinge.

I used this swing for 9 holes today and had some pretty good results. Mainly used this swing for the driver and a couple iron shots.

I'll admit that it was much easier to make this swing "controllable" with an angled hinge though.

Setup a little open and angle hinge it. Produced nice easy fades that went a long way.

I did use this on one particular iron shot from the rough and it worked really well, stuck it to about 12 feet with an 8 iron from about 145

I got an instinct about something. Where do you feel the lag on the downstroke ?

If you load for swinging - you should feel the lag load against the first knuckle (sweetspot rotation) and stay there during the downstroke, as apposed to hitting where you always feel it directly behind the shaft at pp3(no sweetspot rotation)....

Do you feel the lag loading on the knuckle or directly on pp3... ?

On the knuckle...definately not behind the shaft. There is a real 1/4 to the sweetspot rotation.

This entire "move" i'm doing is nothing more than your standard garden variety swinging driver stroke. The ONLY THING DIFFERENT, is that there is a conscious effort to thrust the right arm (the arm not the wrist mind you) at release point to create some extra swing speed.

I will admit it is easier to do this move with an angled hinge that a horizontal hinge. If i thrust too early the face hangs open and it's FOOOOOOOOOORE RIGHT!

Please go take a look at my post in holies/polies to see my 1st time results
